Our Purpose
The North Mecklenburg Woman's Club is organized to bring
women together to promote and support social,
educational, and civic progress in the community
NMWC members believe that in creating a better life for people in our communities we create a better life for each other. Our communities range from Denver to North Mecklenburg to Mooresville. We have a rich history spanning almost 100 years of service to our area. From local soup kitchens to helping provide medical services in Haiti to advancing the education of deserving women, we are a hardworking bunch of women who enjoy reaching out to our community and getting to know each other.
Members participate in a number of ways from community work to hosting a wine & dine party. Organizationally we are lead by a Board of Directors with help from a Communications team and a Membership group. Most of the members join into the work of the organization by becoming part of one of the Departments, Committees or Fundraising.
But we also have fun! We have a Bridge group as well as a Bookclub, Lunch Bunch, Wine & Dine plus more. And don't forget the occasional Girls Night Out.
In order to accommodate all schedules we have daytime and nighttime meetings. Evening meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the months September thru May at Positano's restaurant at Birkdale Village. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact the Night Meeting Chair.
Daytime meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the months September through May at Northstone Club in Huntersville. Lunch is available for $14, but is not mandatory. If you would like to attend, please contact the Hospitality Chair.
If you would like to get involved with NMWC, or need more information, please contact the Membership Chair.
We hope to meet you soon!
