Committees and Sub-committees

New Members – It is our goal that all new members have someone to latch on to and feel part of this club The new members work together on a project that is to be finished in the spring This is a new committee for us, but we want these members to meet in smaller groups so the club isn’t overwhelming They meet, pick out a project that is something of interest to the group and they work on a particular need They made great friends that we hope will carry them through life.

Book Club – Book Club meets the fourth Wednesday of the months September – May, at 10:30 At the beginning of the year, everyone discusses what she has read and what she would like to read A reading list is put together and host sign up for a month It is a laid back group If you read the book, great if not, come and hear about it and see if you might want to read it Also, members bring other books that they have read during the month to share with others

Bridge Club – This is for members of all levels Two years ago it started with four members wanting to learn From there it has grown to usually three tables a month If you are really serious about Bridge, this isn’t the club for you There is a lot of talking over the tables for the beginners They meet the third Wednesday of the months September – May at 1:00 at a host house.    

Golf Groupies – This too is a fun group If you are just learning or play all the time, come out and join them Don’t talk too much about rules; you won’t be able to play next time They meet in perfect weather every Thursday morning.

Lunch Bunch – Who doesn’t like to try new restaurants or go to favorites Lunch Bunch meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 12:30 at restaurants from Charlotte to Mooresville It is a lot of fun and usually great food.

Movie Mania – Once a month, usually on the first Monday after the General Club Meeting, a movie is picked and members of the club go see a daytime movie

Supper Club - Supper Club is help every other month at one of the members home It’s a potluck dinner where husbands and boyfriends are invited Don’t have either one of those don’t stay home We invite all!!!!
