This is just a sampling of past projects. We encourage you to think of new ways to contribute to our community each year. On the following pages you will find listings of the organizations the Club has supported over the past years.

 

Education

• Helped to establish the first branch library in the county and continues to support the libraries
• Provides scholarships to both North Mecklenburg, Hopewell High School & Mallard Creek High School students
• Provides a scholarship to a woman in the work force who wants to further her education
• Proctors at local schools
• Judges Senior Exit Exam

 

Community Affairs

• Provides clothes to women for job interviews
• Provides medical supplies to Huntersville Free Clinic
• Provides food to the local food pantry
• Makes bibs for the Oaks Nursing home
• Provides money for clothes closet for children in local Middle and High Schools
• Supports Dove House, a facility for abused children
• Donates material for cancer caps and wheel chair bags
• Supports planning for local animal shelter
• Supports Ada Jenkins Community center
• Annual Meals to Hospice House

 

International Affairs

• Donates money for the Heifer Project
• Donates medical supplies and toys to Operation Smile for Doctors and Nurses to volunteer surgery on people overseas
• Donates money for Smile Train, for cleft lip and palate surgeries
• Collect items for Christmas Child shoeboxes
• Donates to the Double Harvest Haiti
