Fundraising

The fundraising efforts of North Mecklenburg Woman's Club have resulted in the contribution of over $100,000.00 to the community in just the last five years. Money raised by NMWC is used for scholarships for local woman wanting to advance their education, to fund local organizations who serve the homeless or feed the needy, and many other important local initiatives.

And, of course, we welcome cash donations, and promise to put them to good use in your community.

Please call or email us for more information. This year's efforts include:

Over the Table Top Holidays — Do you enjoy looking at holiday tablescapes to get new ideas? How about trees and wreaths? Would you like to be able to purchase new decorations just in time for the holidays? This annual event allows you to view the "over the top" tables and holiday decorations of local designers, stores and florists - and when you attend the evening gala you also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items. You will leave with stylish ideas for entertaining this holiday season! A must-attend event for the party hostesses!

Fashion Show — This event is held once a year. Chico's, Steinmart, and Cold Water Creek and Dillards have been shown in the past, as well as local boutiques. Attendees are dazzled by the fashions, gift baskets to bid on in silent auction, live auctions, and many, many door prizes to be given away. Did we mention the wonderful gift bags that every participant will receive? It is a day of fun, glamour, and raising money for the many scholarships that they give out at the end of the year

Cookbooks — What good club doesn't have a great cookbook? Ours is fabulous with tested recipes from many members. It also is named for our original name Huntersville Woman's Club in honor of those members Contact us for a great gift.

Butterbraids — This mouthwatering pastry comes in a variety of flavors – apple, cherry, cheesecake, etc. and is purchased frozen. Look for our ladies taking orders in the fall for the holidays and spring for Easter. The club keeps 40% of the selling price.
